“Las Vegas Taxi Cab Drivers and Free Rides to Gentleman’s Clubs”

Here’s a story about me and my friends stumbling upon a Vegas Secret, something that you can’t find anywhere else. It all began one spring break weekend. Some and my friends and I were bar hoping all around town at night drinking and of course looking to meet new women. To our surprise we didn’t get any luck. (story of our lives right?)

It is approaching 2:00 am and we’re still all out of luck and the club lines are ridiculous and expensive to hop from one place to another. We asked ourselves, “What else can we do right now at this hour”? Of course! Strip clubs!

It wasn’t hard to convince everyone in the party to agree on going to but I’m sure you could’ve figure that part out. Questions were being raised about the strip clubs:

Which strip club is the best in Las Vegas?
Which has the best girls?
Which has super cheap VIP Rooms?
Which has the cheapest cover fee?

Guess what…none of us at the time knew the answer to these questions (mind you this was many moons ago). We decided to go ask a cab driver since we were going to be taking one anyways.

So we’re out in front of the Palms Casino in Las Vegas and waiting in line for a taxi. We get in and ask him the questions we had previously asked each other. Can you guess what kind of response we got? The cab driver proceeds into naming 2 or 3 gentleman’s club and closing his sentence with, “If you pick one of those I’ll take you guys there for free and give you $10.00 each”. We’re all drunk and asking ourselves… “WTF?!?!” He was not joking. Apparently taxi cab drivers get kickbacks back then for taking males to these clubs and less if they bring a female thats why they could afford to give us such great deals.

So the year is 2008….and your asking…does this still work?

The answer is yes. I’ve tried it still this year and 2 out of 3 cab drivers will still take you to the gentleman’s clubs for free but they will not pay you just to go (I am assuming with politics, economy, etc. they are not getting as much kickbacks anymore).

What else can you ask them for before you leave the cab?

Since they are no longer getting more kickbacks, aside from getting the free cab rides..try asking them for free club entry cards into clubs in the Casinos. Almost every cab driver has those free entry / vip entry cards for almost any club. It’ll save you a couple bucks.
